Frosted windows above the tub provide both privacy and natural light in this design by Melanie Craig. • While trying to keep the design feeling clean and simple without lacking interest, we specified a lantern mosaic in the same Carrara pattern as the walls and tub surround to further give the bathroom the required detailing aesthetic without it overpowering the space• A challenge with this project was trying to find a mirror that was big enough for the space and that had a softer, rounder appearance. The owners didn’t like the idea of having two completely separate mirrors.• As a result, the custom mirror we finally chose for the design is the wow fact that sets this bathroom apart from all the others in the home. The beautiful brass frame wraps around the mirrors with the smaller mirror sitting in front creating a uniform mirror design. The design of the shower space required taking space from the adjacent room, by only pushing half of the shower over the designers were able to make a wall partition to create a sense of privacy for the toilet • Designing the custom vanity had its challenges, too. We created a flowing, seamless look for the basins and tops, but this required carefully choosing of the materials and product. To get the right result, we had to make a special order.• The design of the shower space required borrowing space from the adjacent room – by only pushing half of the shower over we were able to make a wall partition to create a sense of privacy for the toilet and provide somewhere for the toilet roll holder to live.• The tapware was designed to keep the tops clear and easy to wipe down. The taps are finished in a brushed stainless steel to help disguise fingerprints and water marks while at the same time not detracting from the stunning brass details.
