Herringbone marble tiles, panelled drawers, and solid aged brass fittings are just two touches evoking old world charm in this master suite

Designed by Penny del Castillo, Studio del Castillo

From the designer:

Our directive on this renovation was to reinvent a cramped ensuite off the master bedroom, inclusive of a WIR, double vanity, separate shower and bath, a private WC and bringing in more natural light.

Herringbone marble tiles & further combinations of natural stone on walls and floors were engaged to generate a classic elegance with a hint of old world European charm, befitting the home’s architectural era.

Solid aged brass fittings and fixtures with shaker profile joinery doors completed the look.

Numerous challenges were overcome or cleverly tackled within this section of the house where we had low structural beams, angled ceilings and a budget to adhere to.

Mission accomplished.
