Opulent retreat
Antiques don't need to gather dust in a formal lounge – why not celebrate them in everyday life, including featuring in your bathroom

From the bathroom designer:
Design rationale
To create a statement, a glamorous space that reflects the rest of the house by integrating antique furniture.
Bathrooms don’t need to be hard edged or disconnected from the rest of the houses or only be practical.
This bathroom is positioned on the ground floor and is south facing, these factors help create a weight and natural darkness, so we worked with them to create a solid feeling that would then be the perfect backdrop for antiques, brass and guilt. Bringing opulence to an everyday room.

Central Otago is known for its harsh and dry climate, placing antiques into a bathroom seems an obvious choice and provides a forgiving space for them to also relax in.
This bathroom is a statement, it easily transports you to another era and achieves everything we set out to do - classic modern with a twist.
