  •        Large family home
  •        Minimal, modern and sleek architecture

Summary of brief:

  •        Create an elegant and understated yet functional master suite to complement the architecture and to suit the young family that occupy the home

Homeowner goals:

  •       Wanted the master suite along with the rest of the home to be simple and minimal with a monochromatic colour palette
  •       A strong emphasis was placed on the consistency of materials and the colour palette

Our approach:

  • Keeping it uncomplicated by selecting hard wearing, durable materials that could be used not only in the master suite but throughout the home
  • Using a tonal palette to bring a sense of calm and retreat to the space
  • Selecting materials with subtle textures to create depth and visual interest while retaining the minimal, monochromatic palette throughout
  • Keeping detailing to minimum helped with the overall simplicity of the space
  • Combining primary and secondary lighting options provides good quality functional lighting for when it’s needed with soft, subtle lighting when it’s not
