Create an elegant and understated yet functional master suite to complement the architecture and to suit the young family that occupy the home

Wanted the master suite along with the rest of the home to be simple and minimal with a monochromatic colour palette
A strong emphasis was placed on the consistency of materials and the colour palette

Keeping it uncomplicated by selecting hard wearing, durable materials that could be used not only in the master suite but throughout the home
Using a tonal palette to bring a sense of calm and retreat to the space
Selecting materials with subtle textures to create depth and visual interest while retaining the minimal, monochromatic palette throughout
Keeping detailing to minimum helped with the overall simplicity of the space
Combining primary and secondary lighting options provides good quality functional lighting for when it’s needed with soft, subtle lighting when it’s not
