Great looks are matched with multi-user functionality in this family bathroom – select materials and textures bring a serene aesthetic

Designed by Jessica Valintine, Jessica Valintine Design

From the designer:

This bathroom design focuses on functionality, flexibility, and aesthetic appeal.

It's specifically crafted for multi-user convenience, featuring distinct areas for the toilet, wet room (shower and bath), and an accessible vanity space/lobby.

This layout enables simultaneous use, allowing showering while ensuring access to other bathroom facilities.

The bathroom entrance is situated conveniently at the end of the guest bedroom pavilion.

An open vanity area extends into the hallway, enhancing accessibility, natural light and contributing to the overall interest and visual appeal of the space.

The design emphasises a serene and luxurious atmosphere – achieved through carefully selected materials and textures.

Tundra marble porcelain tiles and Artedomus mosaic tiles were chosen to offer both visual interest and a tactile, earthy ambiance.

In terms of furnishings and fixtures, the focus is on simplicity and elegance.

A soft square metal-framed mirror and Zeppo wall lights provide uniform illumination, complemented by Brushed Nickel tapware.

Narrow frame detailing was incorporated onto the vanity to add a touch of refinement, and cohesiveness to other detail within the home.

Practicality is enhanced with integrated packed walls – these created opportunities to introduce the mosaic tilework that adds texture, visual appeal and relief.

The wet room within the bathroom is designed to evoke a relaxing retreat-like feel, with a freestanding bath as its centrepiece.

White plantation shutters manage natural light and ensure privacy – seamlessly blending functionality and connecting with sophisticated design elements throughout the spaces.
