Elevated style is the name of the game with this bathroom – in one thoughtful design move, large round mirrors are manipulated, even segmented, to optimise specific functionality and design individuality

Designed by Maddren Homes and Natasha Bosic, Designns

From the designer:

This master ensuite is a seamless blend of functionality, flexibility, and elegance – designed to flow seamlessly into the adjoining bedroom and wardrobe, while offering versatility in its own use.

The goal was to create a moody and relaxing retreat, with soft curves used throughout to balance the clean lines and add warmth.

Two custom-made round mirrors are a standout feature, deliberately installed at different heights to balance practicality with aesthetics.

One mirror caters to seated use at the makeup desk, while the other is optimally positioned for standing at the vanity.

This arrangement not only addresses functional needs but also adds depth and a point of difference to the overall design.

The mirror on the makeup side was carefully crafted, cut into two pieces, and reassembled seamlessly between the bench and vanity top, creating a unique and harmonious visual effect.

The vanity and custom makeup desk itself are designed to visually work as one piece or as a separate unit in two adjacent rooms when the cavity slider is closed.

Its textured and coloured finish complements the tone of the tiles while adding warmth to the space.

Brushed brass tapware and accessories enhance the overall look.

A significant amount of thought went into the shower nook.

Departing from the conventional horizontal design, this nook features a full-height vertical shower niche with glass shelving (adding a practical element to the shower zone) framed by subtle textured tiles that create visual interest.

An oversized, full-height cavity slider with a soft stop ensures a seamless transition between the ensuite and the makeup desk area.

This addition allows for privacy and flexibility, adapting to the needs of the user.

The selection of similar colours for the flooring ensures the transition between spaces is cohesive and effortless, visually tying the two areas together.

Lastly, the hidden ceiling fan adds a subtle yet impactful touch of luxury, contributing to the ensuite’s overall refinement.

Every detail in this ensuite has been thoughtfully considered to offer a balance of comfort, functionality, and elevated style.
