Bringing the outdoors in and creating a seamless transition between the interior and exterior allows the home to feel much larger than its floor area.Furthermore, the ceiling volumes have been sculpted to delineate areas within the home in the context of the otherwise open-plan design. The vast, open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas serve as the hub of this home and spill out to the alfresco, balcony, sunken courtyard and pool through full-height and full-width stackable glass sliding doors. Glazing includes the efficient use of louvered windows, strategically placed to capture the available breeze. A raised roofline in the alfresco maximises the home’s vertical edges while capturing the most amount of natural light available. To the rear of the home, the master suite has direct views to the pool and includes a spacious ensuite with a freestanding bathtub set next to a low window overlooking its own private garden. The last of the four bedrooms with an ensuite is located on this floor, as are the utilities plus there is direct entry from the rear lane into the oversized double garage behind the home.Owner requirements for bathroomTo create a modern yet timeless aesthetic using a palette of earthy and natural materialsTo carry through the tone and feel of the main home while adding a touch of luxe Specific challenges and how they were overcomeSelecting design elements that would stand the test of time while also creating a unique space – this was achieved by the use of natural materials and a restrained designFeatures of interestFreestanding bath tub with a sleek modern shape, position in front of the curved timber wall, creates a strong focal point in the roomHandmade Glazed Vertical subway tiles, with a soft glistening, water like appearance Take a quick tour of the home See the full story here Credit list Architect Giorgi Basin Omvivo Venice, Reece Shower fittings Ceiling – Nobili; hand shower – Sussex; mixer – Milli Pure, all from Reece Toilet Axa Uno; Gerbrit Sigma flush buttons Flooring Dom Ceramiche Mas De Province Cloud, from Tiles Expo Lighting Soktas Coral wall light, from Alti Lighting; Faze Edge down lights, from Radiant lighting Underfloor heating Hydronic gas boiler, from Enviroplumb WA Blinds/drapes Indeko Curtains & Blinds Studio Vanity cabinetry/benchtop Prime Oak Wood Matt, Polytec, from Three Dimensional Cabinets Taps Milli Pure; Agape Sen Mixer, both from Reece Bath Victoria & Albert Barcelona Bath, from Reece Accessories Agape Sen 400 shelf; Mizu Blok heated towel rails; Milli Glance WC roll holder & Gloss robe hooks, all from Reece Wall coverings Prime Oak Wood Matt, from Polytec; Marazzi Lume Greige Lux tiles, from Tiles Expo; Dom Ceramiche Mas De Province Cloud, also from Tiles Expo Ventilation Fanfetch Rapid response exhaust fan, from CB Electrics Hot water systems Rinnai B26 continuous Flow, Reece Awards Trends International Design Awards (TIDA) Bathrooms – Winner Designed by: Giorgi Story by: Trendsideas Photography by: Alex Reinders 21 Apr, 2024 Bathroom Australia TIDA Bathrooms Trendsideas Home kitchen bathroom commercial design Latest Post C.
