The owners had quite a different take on what was required, with one owner’s requirements being views across the park, light and visibility and the other owner’s requirements being privacy and not a feeling of being viewed. So we had an interesting time fulfilling the brief! The solution was to provide a long room so that the view could be appreciated from all locations in the room but really you could only be viewed when you were close to the window. We also provided a shaped shroud to the window to further frame the view. The window was also supplied with fully automated external blinds that could be adjusted to a tilt angle that gave the required individual privacy. In addition to the main feature window, we introduced a frosted side window to achieve natural lighting levels even when the blind was pulled down. The layout of the room was therefore long and thin but we wanted the room to appear uncluttered. The bath provided a wonderful feature to the window end but the hero is the walk in shower. A single piece of unframed 2700 x 2700 glass provides the shower recess, with separation from the vanity basin. The wonderful Arcisan Synergii shower panels allowed for overhead, body jets and hand shower functions in a unique panel arrangement. These panels were located on a feature wall with textured tiles from Classic Ceramics. The vanity basin has overhead and underbench storage with built in LED strip lights to the mirror to provide lighting for your face. The WC is separated in a cubical for additional privacy and there is an infra red sauna for additional luxury escapes!
