We developed a dual-purpose vanity that includes pocket doors below the left basin which can be closed, imitating a standard wall hung vanity.Meeting Australian standards, we lowered the vanity height to be accessible from the wheelchair and a standing position as well.Due to plumbing restrictions, we added a new wall behind the vanity to hide waste pipes. The existing bidet was not being used and was removed, allowing us to measure around the toilet to ensure a wheelchair turn circle diameter. The existing enclosed shower was hard to access, so we created a curved wall to divide the room which achieves the ideal wheelchair turn circle.A shower seat runs along the back wall, with wall recess storage and hand shower at a reachable height when sitting.Marble porcelain panels radiate a sense of opulence with their light tone complementing the natural light in the room. For safety reasons we ensured that nonslip rated panels were selected.
