Finely finished
Innovative design, select materials and fine finishes, the hallmarks of Otago Furniture, all contribute an upmarket look to a commercial interior
Even in a competitive marketplace driven by mass-produced items, there is always room for furniture that exhibits the care it was made with. When looking to create an upmarket ambience for a bar, restaurant, hotel or other commercial space, visiting a manufacturer with traditional furniture making skills is a good head start.
Otago Furniture's workmanship and use of high-end materials is seen in every piece it makes, says manager Allan Brown.
"Our attention to detail, contemporary designs, and competitive pricing are the cornerstones of the company's success."
Otago Furniture's Stoneleigh dining suite shown above is a case in point.
"Solid oak forms the setting for five granite inlays that almost cover the table surface," says Brown. "Fine detailing gives the table an upmarket air, while the graniteinlays provide an enduring surface."
The table is complemented here by a simple, clean-lined dining chair.
Otago Furniture's range is as broad as it is well conceived. Curvaceous Pacific Silverton chairs (above right) combine looks and comfort, while the adjacent bar and shelving unit is in mahogany and stone.
"We also create custom pieces and can work from a client's own ideas," he says.
