Calm and considered
In tune with the calm, pared back feel of the wider home, this main bathroom delivers a relaxing 'bath house' vibe where the stonework and dramatic tub take centre stage
Designed by Jack Fugaro
From the architect:
The setting
Nestled amongst traditional residential homes with a solid street presence, this home delicately hovers over into the treelined landscape giving a sense of calm & lightness.
Spatially focusing inwards from arrival, the home is composed with a series of defined voluminous spaces and a rich material palette.
The brief was to heighten the interior experience, drawing from the exteriors' solid sculptural aesthetic and complementing the family's love of fashion and their collection of objects and art.
A series of considered spaces with heightened unexpected moments through a series of light-filled, double height volumes engages with owners and guests while connecting the upper level sleeping and private retreat areas via a sculptural staircase.
Main bathroom suite – bath house vibe
The main bathroom suite has a walk-in shower compartment tucked behind the main bath tub.
A narrow linear skylight positioned directly over the tub – enhancing a desired 'bath house' aesthetic.

Automated louver shutters screen off the space for a more intimate setting.
The home's pared back sense of calmness was key for the bathroom, too – achieved with the rich material palette and reflecting the direction from the homeowner to make the stonework and craftsmanship in this bathroom and also the children's bathrooms a leading feature.
A well considered series of spaces – dressing room, bedroom and retreat area – cohesively connects to the main bathroom zones.
Positioned views frame out the private gardens, creating intimate spaces for rest and relaxation.
Powder room
For the powder room, a custom Nero Tempesta Limestone vanity and joinery gives a hint of what to expect while moving through the home.
Children's bathrooms
The children’s bathrooms are all designed to tie in with main bathroom suite and abundance of natural light from shy windows above and walk in showers.
