Today's house buyer asks a lot from a potential residence be it eye-catching exteriors, sunlit rooms or ergonomic kitchens. Developers and architects who keep one eye on versatility and the other on high standards of specification stay one step ahead of the game.

The two houses on these pages were created by C&J Designer Homes. Both achieve a high standard of design flexibility and attention to finished detail, says director John Noce.

"The Portsea double-storey home and single-storey Fairhaven both offer a range of advantages for buyers eager for space, comfort and convenience," says Noce.
