Into the blue

In an ideal world, every site would be able to accommodate a swimming pool with minimum hassle. Because this is so often not the case, a custom pool is the most effective way to make the best use of the available space.

For this project, designed by architect Andrew Meiring, Mayfair Pools agent Stephen George built an elevated swimming pool to create a seamless transition to an existing timber deck. For further continuity, the custom spa pool features similar tiling to the main pool.

"Customising the pool shape meant the owners could get maximum benefit from an under-utilised area of land at the side of the house," George says. "We were also able to ensure the depth was ideally suited to the teenagers in the family."

Both the swimming and spa pool have a Paremata Sand interior, which provides a fresh, natural turquoise colour. A dual-purpose heat pump heats both pools.
