A love affair with one of Brisbane's finest seafood restaurants inspired developer Jack Zappala to buy the building housing his favourite eaterie. Together with hospitality identity Geoff Lewis, Zappala conceived the new Coro.Zappala says a collaboration of the disciplines of contemporary architecture, interior design and lighting design was integral to the creation of a new landmark venue for the city. This was achieved through the contemporary architecture, and the design of spectacular interiors that aspire to capture the energy of Queensland. The experience is more about fantasy with an iconic twist than designer cool," Zappala says.The development has won four major awards, with Lure Restaurant winning the 2005 Restaurant and Catering Queensland Award for Restaurant of the Year.
