Cue the music

The owners wanted an atmospheric powder room – exotic materials and cued music and lighting created the desired guest-envy effect

Designed by Penny del Castillo, Studio del Castillo

From the designer:

The brief was to design an atmospheric powder room fit for the senses.

Our homeowners requested an experience that would match the luxurious expression of entertainment offered on the ground floor of their new residence.

Cue the music…. Yes, there is an auto sensor which detects your arrival resulting in the tunes start and mood lighting kicks in as the door opens.

The mix of materials generates interest and intrigue.

These include stone floors, brass mosaic wall tiles, a timber & marble pedestal basin, and brass & bronze hardware.

These elements are accompanied by gold flecked grass weave textured wallpaper for the ultimate impact solution.

The pill shaped leather framed mirror has a narrow timber shelf specifically for a scented candle to sit on.
