Keeping your interiors warm and dry no longer means sending the power bills through the roof. Instead there are some savvy designs that make the best possible use of existing energies within your home.

Smooth-Air offers an array of custom and off-the-shelf ventilation solutions, says marketing manager Vince Atkinson.

"These include a range of Dry-Matic systems, heat transfer units and kitchen rangehoods," says Atkinson.

Designed by Smooth-Air and installed in your attic, the Dry-Matic system creates a healthy home by filtering fresh air into your whole house, for as little as 10c a day. The system forces out stale, moist air that creates condensation and damp, replacing it with cleaned, dry air from your attic.

In addition, the Dry-Matic recycles any warm air that rises up through your rooms to attic spaces, and is whisper quiet.

Smooth-Air's heat transfer system, or Heat Humper, performs a similar task, transferring warm air from ceiling areas of a warm room to those of a colder space. This system improves energy efficiency and reduces the risk of dampness.

Smooth-Air also supplies a variety of rangehoods, for clean air in the kitchen.
