Creating an exhibit that contains thousands of litres of sea water, the circling forms of stingrays and an effective feeding and water regulation system requires close attention to detail.This was the brief handed to Advanced Aquarium Technologies (AAT) for work on the upgrade of Kelly Tarlton's, says director John Langmead."Craig Thorburn handed us the concept designs for new life support systems and a new stingray exhibit at the aquarium," says Langmead. The innovative company provides a range of specialist design, construction and management services in the tourism and leisure industry, with particular emphasis on public aquariums, oceanariums and theme parks.AAT can undertake an entire project from concept to completion, or work as a specialist contractor on projects, as with the Stingray Bay exhibit.AAT had implemented the compact life support systems for the existing tanks prior to creating the Stingray exhibit.
