A warm-toned cantilevered plywood cabinet sits well with a cooler toned feature tile in this well balanced bathroom

Designed by Carmen Hubber, Hub Design

From the designer:

As a renovation of an existing home, we were working within the current space, however we did have the opportunity to alter internal wall placements as well as the placements of fixtures and fittings to create a more fluid and useable space.

Our homeowners wanted this bathroom to be cohesive and to ‘visually flow’ on from the master ensuite.

To ensure this, we decided to use a subtle feature tile in the same design as the master, but with different tones.

We also added a tiled wing-wall to create more privacy and division in the space.

The warmth of the ply on the custom vanity gives light and interest to the scheme while establishing continuity from the other wet areas in the home.

Satin super-thin basins were specified along with wall mounted tapware to maximise space.

The lighting provides quality task lighting and incorporates dimmers for a soft relaxing feel in the shower after a hard day at work or after skiing up the mountain.
