For the Fale Pasifika and the adjacent education facilities, the company designed, supplied and installed an environmental weather-proof fae§ade. Exterior walls of doors and windows, timber cladding and patterned paving in courtyard. In the fale, the doors and louvres run continuously around the curved perimeter. To ensure they fit together snugly, they had to be measured and manufactured with great care and accuracy. All windows and louvres installed by Miller Design are controlled by an internal remote computer. They were all supplied with their own motors, so they can be operated automatically to maintain a consistent temperature throughout the building. An internal locking system automatically locks and monitors all doors to ensure they are shut properly. Closeup of motor units for opening and shutting windows.
