From the designer:

Refinement defines this project to renovate the intimate area of a 1200m² duplex apartment.

With a privileged location, the 34th floor apartment has a spectacular view of Ibirapuera and the São Paulo city skyline, and this was the starting point for the project – it's impossible to enter the couple's bedroom and not be struck by the large glazed area that overlooks the park and the city.

Positioning the couple's bed in the area corresponding to the former balcony provides the owners with an enchanting sight when getting up, going to sleep or simply enjoying the sunset.

A system of perfectly sealed glass, blinds and motorised/automated curtains, together with the air conditioning, ensures total thermal and acoustic comfort for the couple.

In the master suite, a niche in Macassar ebony wood 'embraces' the headboard and the finely finished joinery work offers an eye-catching leaf design pattern.

In the his and hers closets, the lighting was guaranteed by a tensioned screen that simulates daylight while the choice of dark wood, mirrors and smoked glass creates an interesting and beautiful rhythm in the arrangement of doors and cabinet divisions.

For the his and hers bathrooms, the countertops present an interesting play of volumes that subvert the natural rule of countertops and cabinetry.

In this project, two juxtaposed and fitted volumes have both worktop and storage functions merged into single volumes.

There is no clear definition of the worktop and cabinet here, but rather a solution that prioritises and enhances the materials without sacrificing functionality.

Attention is drawn to the precision execution of the joinery, part of which is clad in grey onyx stone.
