We also considered best placement in terms of access to dry good storage and small appliances.
The bulkhead was an existing feature that houses necessary mechanical ducts and this runs through into the scullery to form the lower ceiling.
The inclusion of well-designed elements overcoming these constraints together with careful attention to proportion makes the design look effortless and genuine.
The dining and bar unit also had constraints that I had to work with, specifically, a low window position which needed to consider the height of a workable surface.
The homeowners wished to include metal shelving into the design, so the selection of the palette and finishes helped to achieve this in a sophisticated way.
Warm tones of brass fittings and textured mosaic tiles also help to create a warm and inviting family kitchen with practicality and longevity of materials and finishes in mind.
