Harbourside living
The design of this luxury apartment building makes the most ofits prime waterfront location and views of the Sydney skyline

In the past, traditional, inflexible building materials limited the design potential of large commercial properties.
Saunders Wharf has a structural steel frame, which was fabricated and erected by Southern Cross Rigging & Constructions (SCRC).
SCRC managing director Mark Merhi says that using a steel frame for the five-storey building made the project quicker and more flexible.
"The beauty of structural steel is that you can bend or roll it to suit any architectural design" he says. "It is much more flexible than concrete."
In the past, Merhi says developers have been shy about using structural steel.
"It hasn't been exploited to its full potential in residential developments. Overseas, it is used extensively on any type of development. There is a lot more that can be done with it in Australia."
SCRC provides structural steel fabrication, piping fabrication, erection and maintenance services from its five fully equipped workshops in the Sydney area. The workshops are capable of all kinds of structural steel and pipe spool manufacturing for the building and construction industries.
Merhi says the company has a good reputation for completing projects on time and within budget. SCRC takes considerable precautions against delays, including employing in-house mechanics who are available 24 hours a day.
"In addition, our quality assurance system ensures our methods are always ahead of the industry standard," says Merhi.
