It's a concept Westpac has embraced with its new office.Inscape, a specialist in the supply and maintenance of corporate interior landscapes, has been contracted to supply plants for the interior. Sharron Furniss of Inscape says that the company enjoyed the challenge of selecting plants and container toppings that reflect the unique theme of each floor. Bright crimson bromeliads enliven the volcano-themed 9th floor, and cascades of plants in the other office areas create a soothing environment for staff. "The plants are an integral part of the design, not just an afterthought," says Sharron Furniss.To keep the plants in top condition, Inscape's trained staff many of whom are horticultural graduates and Green Star-accredited professionals regularly water and maintain the plants using self-contained service carts for optimum efficiency.
