Cool Temptation

After a busy day on a business trip or sightseeing in a new city, it's one of life's true pleasures to be able to sink back into a chair in your hotel room and enjoy a cool, refreshing drink.

With its 110-litre capacity, the new Glass Door Chiller from Haier provides plenty of space for storing your favourite beverages at the right temperature. Water, wine, beer and soft drinks can all be accommodated to ensure a wide beverage choice for guests.

Rotorua's Royal Lakeside Novotel and Hotel Ibis both installed this new model of chiller into all 199 rooms as part of a recent upgrade of guest accommodation. Double-glazed glass doors and silver-painted aluminium frames give these bar fridges an up-market appearance.

Novotel's director of sales and marketing, Andrea Richards, says with the clear glass doors, the new bar fridges make it easy for guests to see at a glance what is available in their mini bar facilities.

For convenience, the doors can be hinged on the left or right. The evaporator is concealed, so no chill plate is visible, and no defrosting is required. Plus, with no ice box taking up space, the full capacity of the fridge can be utilised for beverage storage.

The chillers are imported by Haier New Zealand and form part of the company's range of white goods, which includes bar fridges, freezers, dishwashers, dryers and washing machines.
