Creating a new kitchen environment requires keeping up with the latest advances in design, materials, and cabinetry. However, a fourth consideration also has a major impact on the workspace the choice of appliances.

"For example, this kitchen's GE Arctica 761 litre capacity side-by-side refrigerator includes ClimateKeeperTM, a sensor-driven food preservation system, a Quick Ice function, and CustomCoolTM Technology, a feature that cools items in minutes rather than hours and thaws items in hours instead of days," says Young.
In terms of cooking, a rangehood and freestanding oven from the Kleenmaid Professional range were chosen.
"The rangehood offers electronic auto-sensor control and high airflow capacity, while the heavy-duty oven has multi-functional programming, suitable for gourmet entertainers and large families," he says.
The second kitchen featured here also has an emphasis on modern-look materials and cabinetry. Again, the appliances specified are from Kleenmaid.
A non-pressurised steam oven sits above Kleenmaid's Sensor Cook oven, awarded an A-Class European rating for design and performance.
"The latter offers programmes which automatically set the mode, temperature and operation times for a variety of dishes," says Young. "Alongside, a Kleenmaid microwave offers a large cooking capacity, accommodating plates up to 32cm in size."
To complete the picture of cooking efficiency, an Aurora rangehood over the hob clears kitchen fumes in minutes.
For after dinner, a coffee machine, also from Kleenmaid, features two heat exchangers one for steam, one for coffee ensuring a full-bodied cappuccino every time.
The GE Arctica custom-style refrigerator has a large 680 litre capacity and is finished in glass panels that match the splashback.
