With their rich colours, interesting grains and marks from past uses, recycled native timber is well suited to furniture making.

Ironwood Antique Joinery specialises in transforming pieces of hardwood into items of furniture such as dining tables, pieces for the lounge room and kitchen benchtops. Billy Ward, the owner and creator of Ironwood Antique Joinery, has recently won an award for excellence in furniture using native timbers from the Furniture Industry Association of Australia. Later in the year Ward will be exhibiting a dining table at the Australian Furniture of the Year Awards.

Furniture from Ironwood Antique Joinery is all made by qualified tradesmen, who can craft items to meet customers' individual specifications. The company also helps customers choose the best timber for each project and gives advice on furniture design.

Ironwood Antique Joinery provides recycled and new timber for flooring, decking, staircases and doors, using timber from old railway bridges, wharves and buildings, as well as plantation species.
