From the exterior, an apartment building has far more design integrity when all the window treatments harmonise. To facilitate this, and ensure tenants have plenty of choice, Evolve purchasers have been offered a flexible, yet consistent package, allowing them to select fabrics and colours to suit their own preferences.

Windows furnishing specialist Simple Studio worked closely with Vivas Lend Lease's in-house designer on the Evolve project to develop a range of roller blinds and curtains in various fabrics. The packages included automation options and a choice of fabrics and colours. All of this was part of the purchase price and was installed prior to settlement.

As a boutique supplier of window furnishings for architects, interior designers and developers, Simple Studio is involved in large and small commercial and residential projects.

The company supplies a diverse range of products, including roller blinds, curtains, venetian blinds, timber shutters and awnings. It specialises in automation and can provide control strategies for its products through various smart building systems.

In its work, Simple Studio focuses on window treatments and how they relate to the specific space, and to other design elements and finishes, says director Morgan Ferry.

"Our aim is to integrate our products into the fabric of the building. We achieve this by working closely with our clients from the initial design phase to ensure details such as ceiling recesses, pelmets, window hardware and automation wiring are all inbuilt."
