Uplifting experience

Eliminating the need for machine rooms and pits makes the installation of a disability lift in a building quick as well as an aesthetically pleasing option

Complying with regulations to provide access for mobility impaired people in commercial premises might seem a daunting prospect. But there are cost-effective alternatives to standard lift technology.

Doing away with machine rooms and lift pits can eliminate design, installation and time worries, and New Zealand Engineering Services Australasia (NZES) does just that with the Swedish-imported Cibes A5000 Platform Lift.

The fully enclosed electrical unit includes a lift shaft available in glass and painted or powdercoated steel. A wide range of colours is available to blend with or enhance existing interior design.

Door access at the top can be installed on the same side, opposite side or at right angles to the lower door to suit the building's layout. Relative ease of installation means NZES can often complete the job in around five working days.

The company has successfully installed the Cibes A5000 disability lift in commercial and residential buildings, homes, recreational facilities and schools.

NZES is the sole agent in New Zealand for the Cibes Platform Lift.
