Time to relax

Taking a shower gives us a few peaceful moments to ourselves and if we know that the shower is easy to clean and looks good, our mood is likely to improve still further. That's the thinking behind the new Frameless Elegance shower, part of the Cube range of bathroom furniture from Elite Bathroomware.

The shower enclosure has been designed for easy cleaning, which is a particular challenge in New Zealand's damp climate, says Richard Burkhead, co-director of Elite Bathroomware.

"The surface of the shower wall is smooth and non-porous it just needs a wipe down to keep it clean," he says.

The minimalist Cube range was devised by Richard Burkhead and co-director Joshua Burkhead. They wanted to create a range of bathroom fittings that would be both good to look at and practical.

The shower comprises a seamless acrylic wall, moulded tray and liner, and a frameless 10mm safety glass door. The result, says Richard Burkhead, is a shower that wouldn't look out of place in a five-star hotel, but is still easy and practical to maintain.
