With a capacity of 50,000, Eden Park can expect heavy-duty wear on all its flooring surfaces concourses, bleachers, food and beverage areas and ablution facilities will all need to be up to the task. Then there are the behind-the-scenes spaces, such as kitchens, also receiving more than their fair share of use.

To withstand the waves of sports fans attending the venue, Flostone Industrial Flooring in partnership with Flowcrete Group was asked to supply and lay 65,000m² of solid, durable floors through all the above areas. The brief was to introduce flooring solutions that would be aesthetically pleasing and safe to walk on, even in slippery conditions. To this end, Flostone's knowledge and experience was called on.

Flowcrete Terrosso features on the main level four concourse. This product has an attractive decorative finish. It is easy to maintain and clean, has a high scratch resistance and a fast-track application time.

Flowcrete Deckshield was laid onto the bleachers, chosen for its hard wearing, abrasion resistance, and anti-skid properties all important factors in these areas of the stadium.

Lastly, Flowcrete Peran STB was applied by Flostone in kitchens, food and beverage outlets, the toilets and back-of house-areas chosen for its seamless, hygienic finish, suitability for wet and dry process areas, and again, its ease of cleaning and maintenance.
