To take advantage of views of the nearby river, the Millennium Arts Project buildings incorporate more than 12,000m² of glass, much of it framed by approximately 35 tonnes of anodised aluminium extrusions.

G James Glass and Aluminium supplied the external glazing, including the curtain wall, structural glazing and frameless glazing. The company also undertook the traditional aluminium captive systems for the entire project, including the Knowledge Walk and the River Room of the Art Gallery.

Glass types included white, dark green, translucent and clear laminates to the doors, windows and curtain wall panels throughout the building.
