Smooth or textured
No matter what type of concrete surface you prefer, the Peter Fell system offers many options
Embarking on a renovation project often creates an opportunity to introduce new flooring and outdoor surfaces. One of the strongest trends in recent years is the use of coloured and textured concrete in both these areas.
The Peter Fell system can be used to achieve many different looks, as it brings a wide range of colours and textures to concrete. The new living room shown above features polished concrete mixed with exposed aggregate and rumbled glass for added interest.
Exposed aggregate finishes vary widely, depending on the materials used in the mix. Many homeowners and designers combine aggregate strips with smooth, coloured concrete surfaces.
The concrete colours range from terracotta and earthy tones, through to soft pastels. Because the colour is an integral part of Peter Fell concrete, it won't chip off or wear away, even in high-traffic areas.
A number of different effects are also possible with smooth concrete, as seen in the outdoor living area featured on these pages. The concrete can be laid to resemble large tiles or flagstones.
As well as its suitability for patios and pool surrounds, the Peter Fell system can be used wherever concrete is highlighted around the home from hearths and benchtops to paths and driveways.
