It's not just the different color ways that capture the imagination. The hardness of Staron Quartz countertops also provides many benefits
When you're planning a new kitchen it's helpful to know what's hot and what's not and what will still be in vogue in three years.
For countertops, the trend over the next few years is for quartz surfacing and natural stone surfaces. Freedonia Group, a Cleveland-based market research firm, says these surfaces will see the highest increase in both value and volume within the countertop category.
Samsung's new Staron® Quartz collection fits this profile. As a relatively new surfacing option, quartz resembles the look of natural stone, but has many added benefits, says Dale Mandell, national sales manager for Staron Surfaces.
"Staron Quartz is comprised of 93% natural quartz crystals. As quartz is one of the hardest materials in nature, the surface offers inherent durability," he says. "This makes it highly resistant to scratches and heat. And, as it contains no porous materials, it doesn't require sealing."
Mandell says its non-porosity also means it resists bacterial growth, and will not discolor when exposed to spills, such as coffee, red wine or cooking oil.
To create Staron Quartz surfacing, quartz crystals are combined with technologically advanced polymers, resulting in a smooth, high-gloss countertop that does not need polishing to maintain its luster. The countertop can be cleaned simply with warm water and mild soap.
Mandell says Staron Quartz's easy maintenance makes it well suited to a variety of areas in the home, including countertops, backsplashes, wet bars, table and desk tops, and bathroom vanities.
Staron Quartz is currently offered in 14 colors, ranging from warm neutrals to deep midnight blue and black, with variances in crystal size to complement any kitchen design.
"Consistency of appearance is another major advantage of Staron Quartz," says Mandell. "What you order is what you get the production process offers consistent, reliable color and a uniform texture throughout the countertop."
Mandell says the Staron Quartz collection was inspired by and named for colors found in natural rock formations throughout the world. Colors include Aleutian White, Patagonia Gray, Rocky Mountain Brown and Moana Loa Black.
For added peace of mind, Samsung offers a 10-year limited warranty, which includes a transferable warranty for homeowners.
