The new EcoSmart Fire, available from Real Fires, is an environmentally friendly, flueless fire that has no specific installation requirements or any need to be connected to a permanent fuel supply.

Director of Real Fires Ali Scott says the exciting feature of this model is that architects and homeowners can create a firebox in their own design to house the burner.

"The fireplace doesn't need to be any particular shape or size, apart from maintaining sufficient clearances from combustible materials. This makes it extremely versatile," says Scott.

The EcoSmart Fire is fuelled by methylated spirits stored inside a five-litre holder inside the burner. When full, it will burn for seven hours on its highest setting.
