Scenic approach
Offering a relaxed lifestyle and an ever-changing outlook, the new Seagrass Villas, constructed by Ware Building, present an airy, natural aesthetic
When a modern villa development is set alongside an upmarket country club, design issues might include melding the homes into the landscape, maximising views to the scenery and achieving privacy for each home it's then the builder's job to ensure an effective, seamless outcome.
This was the case when Ware Building was asked to construct the run of 16 Seagrass Villas that sit alongside the Ocean Shores Country Club in this sought-after area of the NSW North Coast.
Ware Building was well placed to undertake construction of the upmarket villas. The second-generation Australian building company has won the coveted MBA Master Builder of the Year award as well as several other industry awards over the past decade. These include, most recently, the HIA/CSR Hunter Awards Winner for a Display Home over $300,000 and last year the 2008 NSW MBA Winner (Joint) Exhibition Project Homes over $350,001 and 2008 NSW MBA Winner (Joint) Home Units up to $250,000.
Consistent construction standards and a strict adherence to both program and budgetary requirements form the key to these recognised industry successes. Ware has undertaken a variety of builds of the calibre of Seagrass Villas.
Even with a string of accolades behind them for high-end construction projects, Seagrass Villas sets the bar particularly high for projects built in a verdant, refined setting. Individual villas either have western views across the golf course or look eastward to the seashore. They feature airy living spaces with high ceilings and a close attention to material finishes.
Project architect on the development Steven Lesiuk says the two-storey villas all have a high level of articulation, ensuring each enjoys maximum views and privacy.
Ware Building director Judy Ware says Seagrass Villas' varied, complex forms called on the building company's hard-won expertise and industry know-how.
"Everything from drainage swales that use recycled rainwater to create water features through to the Seagrass Villas' open-plan, flowing interiors required carefully considered building solutions," says Ware. "Besides smart layouts and adroit landscaping, Seagrass Villas offer a number of environmental positives, including cross-ventilated interiors and several water and power-saving elements all part of the job for Ware Building."
