Solid wood cabinetry provides a look of grace and permanence Scullery & Holz creates designs to order
Some design elements can be swapped in and out of an interior on a whim. However, to give your home environment a sense of solidity and strength it pays to choose a more substantial feature. Traditional wood cabinetry serves a practical purpose and introduces a feeling of permanence to your home interior.
Scullery & Holz takes pride in creating custom handcrafted wood cabinetry that brings a strong feature element to living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms, says director Stefan Mayer.
On these pages shelving and storage cabinetry has become the central feature of two different rooms. Both came about as custom responses to owners' individual requests.
"Close customer liaison and solid carpentry woodworking principles are the backbone of our business," says Mayer. "Our careful pre-planning extends to every aspect of a project, from supplying comprehensive drawings, through to preparing samples of finishes and materials. This care also applies to all our cabinetry's actual construction. For example, our cabinetry is built with carpenter's joinery and butt hinges, giving it a classic furniture feel."
This feeling of tradition and permanence also means cabinetry from Scullery & Holz will never go out of style, no matter how many contemporary trends come and go.
"Classic design elements in our work include fluted panels, handcrafted ornamental cornices and, in the case of our kitchens, solid stone or wood benchtops," he says. "Whether it is a wall-length, built-in unit, or a small bathroom vanity, Scullery & Holz offers a diverse range of options."
