Pacific point of view
The University of Auckland's new Fale Pasifika is part meeting house and concert hall and part educational facility
In keeping with the Pacific theme, bright colours have been selected for the paintwork on walls throughout the Fale Pasifika.
And, to ensure the walls will keep looking fresh and be easy to maintain, Jasmax specified colours tinted into Resene Lustacryl for the interior walls of the academic wings and meeting house. This semi-gloss, waterborne enamel provides a tough, durable finish that can be wiped down easily.
Resene Lustacryl is non-yellowing, fast-drying and has a much lower odour than solventborne paints, making it ideal for commercial and residential locations.
Marketing manager Karen Warman says the versatility of Resene Lustacryl makes it well-suited to most interior applications including kitchens, laundries and bathrooms, as well as for trim andjoinery, both inside and outside.
The Resene Total Colour System with colour charts and The Range fandeck of swatches makes it easy to choose the best shades and combinations of colours for the project. Fandecks are released annually and incorporate the latest colour trends.
