One of a kind
Contemporary white fixtures are complemented by a CaesarStone Ice Snow benchtop and Licorice Linear laminate from The Laminex Group
The intimate nature of a bathroom and its relatively small size make it an ideal candidate for innovative design. Modern fixtures and fittings can be paired with the latest materials and finishes to create a highly individual look.
For this bathroom, in a modern new house in Glendowie, the team from Design Studio specified a freestanding tub and contemporary, square-edged basins. The vanity top features CaesarStone in Ice Snow, from The Laminex Group. Designer Suyin says the lightly speckled look of the CaesarStone complements the dark-brown tiled splashback and white grouting.
"The 60mm-thick vanity top also enhances the streamlined, minimalist look the client wanted," she says. "Similarly, the cabinetry, which features Licorice Linear low-pressure laminate from The Laminex Group, has a flush, seamless finish. The combination of these products makes for an interesting, yet classic result."
The monochromatic colour scheme creates an inviting, tranquil bathroom, and echoes the tones used elsewhere.
Design Studio manager Sandi O'Neill says the company specialises in all types of interior design from bathrooms and kitchens through to exterior colour schemes and spatial planning for both residential and commercial projects. The designers have access to a large library of product samples, and provide 3D computer perspectives for homeowners.
