Modern kitchen design puts the focus firmly on lifestyle, and this project was no exception. Designed and manufactured by Breeze Furniture, the galley-style kitchen is positioned to maximise social interaction and provide a view of the pool from the work areas.

In meeting the lifestyle requirements, the work triangle was not compromised, says director Kevin Wright. Working with designer/operations manager Jade Barron, Kevin Wright created a user-friendly kitchen featuring symmetrical cabinets and a 4m-long island.

Cabinets are lacquered in Resene Sidewinder, a colour that makes a dramatic contrast to the white walls and CaesarStone benchtops in Osprey.

"This solid surface provides a very sleek, clean look, and doesn't require too much fabrication," says Kevin Wright. "We have paired it with a Deco Glaze glass splashback in a Pearl finish."

The cabinets feature Blum hardware from Sanco, which comes with a lifetime warranty.

Breeze Furniture also built the laundry and a bar unit, finished in a white oak veneer.
