The floor is your home's largest surface – with the biggest impact. A Kährs wood floor adds a warm, natural character to your interiors that you'll appreciate every day – available from The Wooden Floor Company now

Why a Kährs floor?

Skill, experience and innovation are watchwords of internationally celebrated wood flooring company Kährs.

Kährs was founded as a family business more than 150 years ago in southern Sweden with its floors now selling throughout the world. Using only natural wood, the company created the first engineered wood floor in 1941. Today the floors are sold in over 50 countries and offer the best joint system there is and a high performance surface.

The floors come in a great variety of colours and species, sizes, patterns and finishes. And above all, they are natural – whether brushed, hand-scraped, bevelled, silky smooth or matt, each Kährs plank is individually treated, according to its own unique composition of knots and graining.

Why does Kährs work exclusively wood?

Wood is the most sustainable, beautiful and versatile flooring material there is. Few materials can add as much warmth and character as wood. It softens the most minimalistic designs, while accentuating a more traditional interior.

Stylish in the extreme – wood floors exude quality and style – two things that will never go out of fashion.

Sustainable – green and planet friendly, wooden floors are a renewable resource – sustainability box firmly ticked.

Easy and enduring – exuding quality and style, and easy to clean, your wooden floors will always look as good as when you first installed them.

Health – wooden floors do not collect and hold dust, dirt or any other allergy causing materials.

Four examples of the many beautiful Kährs flooring options available

Ash Flow

The white structure and semi-transparent stain on this single-strip ash floor, allows the warm tones to filter through. Four-sided micro-bevelling at the edging ensures a classic full plank look and feel. It has an ultra-matt lacquer finish. The product includes large sound and black knots. Knots may vary in size and numbers.

Oak Cornwall

The warm taupe nuances in this exclusive, single-strip floor from the European Naturals Collection are enhanced by an even colour variation between planks and a sweeping natural grain. Four-sided bevelling at the edges ensures a classic, full plank look and feel. Each board is carefully brushed to bring out the character of the timber and highlight the texture of the wood.

Beech Viborg

Beech Viborg is a floor that mixes the lighter surface wood and reddish core of beech. Viborg is nature’s own design with knots and a lively structure.

Oak Verona

This 2-strip oak floor has a distinct colour variation, which ranges from malted milk highlights to toffee brown lowlights. The marbled grain of the timber is punctuated with naturally occurring knots.

Wood flooring running through your home says a lot about how you approach life – natural, warm and welcoming, they give your home a character that it would be hard to attain in any other single design choice.
