Multiple Bask Louvre Roofs fitted by HomePlus Tauranga

The team at HomePlus Tauranga fitted three Bask louvre roofs for a customer to help them to extend their outdoor living year round.

The new roof is two-tone, including a light shade for when the louvres are shut.

They have a stunning view over Mount Maunganui from their elevated setting, but the afternoon sun on the front deck in summer meant they had to retreat inside to get away from the beating sun. The customers offer homebased childcare from their stunning home and they want to be able to utilise their outdoor areas with the children. They chose a multibay louvre roof, two louvre roofs were fitted for weather protection for the large front deck and a smaller louvre roof on the back deck which catches the morning sun. Flexibility of the louvres on the roof means they can choose to close the louvre roof against the hot sun or passing rain and when it is cooler they can open the louvres to let in the sun and warmth. They also agreed with the recommendation from Murray (HomePlus Tauranga) to finish the roof in two colours, with the frame matching the home’s joinery and the louvre blades in a lighter powder coat colour to increase the light when the roof is closed. The owners were thrilled with the result especially with having a huge area for the children to play outside in this last summer.
