More than an addition

Forming part of a North Perth residence, this kitchen has been conceived not as an addition, but as an integral part of the home’s architecture. 

Beginning at the entry, the design flows seamlessly, wrapping through a bespoke wine store, transitioning into the kitchen and scullery, and extending into a study nook, creating a continuous journey of space and function.

Marble island bench takes centre stage

The island bench takes centre stage as the hero of the design, crafted in natural marble with basalt fluting and highlighted by subtle strip lighting, anchoring the space while serving as a sculptural focal point at the heart of the home. 

The scullery is concealed behind cabinetry panels, providing dedicated storage and cleaning zones without interrupting the fluidity of the design.

Sophisticated material palette creates character

A sophisticated palette of deep timber, basalt, and marble is balanced by light timber floors, giving the kitchen a moody yet refined character. 

Thoughtful lighting design accentuates texture, sets the mood, and offers functionality, transforming the kitchen’s personality as daylight fades. 

The result is a space that is at once functional, sculptural, warm, and intrinsically woven into the very fabric of the home.
