The old adage of never getting a second chance to make a first impression applies equally to homes as it does to personal presentation. Consider the initial impact your front door has on visitors. It's therefore desirable to select a door that welcomes and invites in your guests.

The door sets the tone for your entire home, says Michael Erhardt, company president of Old World Design.

"Our doors offer a look of antique European elegance, and represent a connection between past and present."

The aura of Old World-designed doors is enhanced by the addition of wrought iron hardware, incorporated into the design by way of handles or decorative accent pieces that add depth and texture.

All doors are color-matched to the home before an authentic finish is administered. This final process involves the application of layers of lacquers and varnishes to re-create a time worn patina, reminiscent of old English estates.

"Our doors are sturdy, intricately hand-crafted functional pieces of art that lend character to any home," says Erhardt.
