Congratulations to Maddren Homes & Natasha Bozic of Designns, winners of the 2025 TIDA New Zealand Group Home Builder Bathroom – a space with built-in flexibility for privacy
The goal for this master ensuite was to create a moody and relaxing retreat, with soft curves used throughout to balance the clean lines of the vanity and shower enclosure.
Two custom-made round mirrors are a standout feature, deliberately installed at different heights to balance practicality with aesthetics.
One mirror caters to seated use at the makeup desk, while the other is positioned for standing at the vanity, creating a point of difference to the overall design.
The vanity and custom makeup desk itself is designed to be used either as a single element or as separate units.
The TIDA judges were impressed with how the flexible design allows the bathroom to be closed off to give more privacy to the bathing area when in use.
This was achieved with the installation of an oversized, full-height cavity slider, which slides across into a slot in the countertop to separate the two spaces.
Its textured and coloured finish complements the tone of the tiles, while brushed brass tapware and accessories add warmth to the overall look.
