LuxeHome at The Merchandise Mart presents more than 30 boutiques, with a heavy concentration of world-renowned kitchen brands, including Ernestomeda Chicago and Neff of Chicago. The kitchens showcased at LuxeHome illustrate the latest innovations in design, materials and technology, which complement today's lifestyles.

The Elektra kitchen from Ernestomeda Chicago, shown above, was designed by Pietro Arosio. The layout of this kitchen comprises five stacked horizontal layers, which can be equipped in various ways to cater to specific functions. Its streamlined appeal is enhanced by the materials, which include stainless steel, lacquer, Corian® and marble.

LuxeHome also presents the Barrique kitchen from Ernestomeda Chicago, which is the brainchild of Rodolfo Dordoni.Katherine M Flaherty, vice president of building products and special projects at The Merchandise Mart, says this kitchen puts itself and its contents on display.

"The Barrique, which means barrel in French, is notable for its exciting juxtapositions that mix the warmth of natural materials with the latest technology. For example, colored glass-fronted cabinets and high-tech materials, such as stainless steel and aluminum, are paired with natural stone and traditional woods."

Other new kitchens on display at LuxeHome include several designs from Neff of Chicago. The Avant Garde circular kitchen features ribbon mahogany veneer. Colorfast polyurethane base coats combined with crystal metallic additives provide a holographic paint finish with a vibrant metallic look.
