This avoids installing a base building fit-out that has to be replaced once the building is tenanted.The Lumley Centre's three major tenants were able to specify their lighting and electrical requirements early, which meant Singer could install wiring that catered to their specific needs.The challenge of the tenants being involved so early in the process was that Singer was required to design, price, gain approval, then install all the systems before the base building was completed.The lighting control systems were designed taking into account energy efficiency and the needs of the tenants. Incorporated into the design were multiple scene settings and interface controls with the audiovisual and blind control systems. the singer dynalite fully programmable controls system gives tenants enormous flexibility and control with the lighting. Many light fittings are not easily accessible, so a large number of low-maintenance LED fittings were used. Extrusion fittings were also used, which provide fluorolighting for areas where base building fittings were not desirable.Singer utilised several suppliers and manufacturers to help with fitting selections, potential capabilities and enhancements where they were required. The Dynalite lighting control system was designed by Singer in conjunction with Network Lighting.Singer requested the developer support the local New Zealand industry, and they agreed to have base building light fittings manufactured by Thorn Lighting.A large number of Singer-designed and custom-built light fittings were installed throughout Lumley Centre. These include a stainless steel mesh drum fitting, located above an internal spiral stair, and a 56m suspended light frame located within a specialist tenancy area. the singer dynalite fully programmable controls system gives tenants enormous flexibility and control with the lighting. LED.Y lights were used for the water feature outside the main entrance.
