Inspired by the Olympic torch and making visual reference to the Sydney Opera House, the 80-level Q1 apartment building soars high above the Gold Coast
The 80-storey Q1 boasts some impressive statistics, not least of all its height of 323m. Yet despite its size, its success as a residential building could not be assured if it didn't get the details right.
Architectural hardware, such as the stainless steel accessories supplied by Barben Industries, ensures that the little things count, says Barben national sales manager Cameron Kenny.
"The products we supplied were solid stainless steel in a highly polished finish, to match the tapware and other hardware," he says. "The stainless steel accessories not only offer a quality mirror finish, they are also durable and long-lasting."
Working to a brief by the developer Sunland Group, Barben supplied some specially manufactured accessories as well as items from the company's Cube range.
"Effective manufacturing techniques and major investments in machinery enable us to supply a package that enhances the interior design, but is also tailored to the client's budget," says Kenny.
