HuM Architects wins the 2026 TIDA Australia Architect Bathroom of the Year
A refined sanctuary for relaxation– congratulations to Justin Holman and Elizabeth Williams of HUM Architects, winners of the 2026 TIDA Australia Architect Bathroom of the Year
Taking inspiration from luxury hotel experiences, this principal suite provides the homeowners with a refined sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of family life.
The layout creates clearly defined bedroom, walk-in robe and bathroom zones, with a smooth flow that sets the tone for the rest of the home.
Inside the bathroom, the freestanding bath is perfectly positioned to take in the views from a space filled with natural light.
At the opposite end, a gently curved wall serves as a subtle design feature for the spacious shower area.
The double vanity includes a dedicated make-up table and a full-length mirror.
Here, the neutral tones of the joinery and tiling form a clean backdrop, highlighting the striking Dekton Bergen top and a blown glass feature pendant.
While the TIDA judges commended the attention to detail in this thoughtful and sophisticated bathroom, the success of the project goes beyond aesthetics.
Behind the scenes, daily functionality and sustainable design decisions were key drivers of the underlying rationale.
Congratulations to Justin Holman and Elizabeth Williams of HUM Architects, winners of the 2026 TIDA Australia Architect Bathroom of the Year.
