For 70 years, Burmeister has been crafting custom cabinetry that not only makes a strong first impression, but leaves a lasting one as well, says vice president Wendy Rosecky.

"Since 1937, Burmeister Woodwork has been providing quality design and service in custom cabinets, millwork, stairs, and window and door products to Wisconsin and Illinois builders, developers and homeowners," Rosecky says. Tarakdjian envisioned a kitchen that would be a pleasure to work in, as well as warm and inviting. Burmeister designer Connie Mitchell went with the company's Dutchmade cabinetry with a multi-step paint and glaze finish. This added depth to the color, creating a kitchen that is light and airy, yet still a comfortable living space.

The pronounced detailing on the Dutchmade cabinetry adds further visual interest, and is particularly well suited to kitchens where there is a large expanse of cabinetry.

A similar multi-step paint and glaze finish was given to the Decor cabinetry used in the master bathroom. As with the kitchen, the lightness of the cabinetry imparts a feeling of spaciousness and offsets the darker granite countertops.

Rosecky says Adel Tarakdjian also needed the remaining cabinetry throughout the home to convey an inviting warmth, while creating visual interest through the use of differing door styles and detailing, and colors.

"The remaining bathrooms were kept simple and functional and feature Timberlake cabinetry. Timberlake is a traditional panel cabinetry style that suits a variety of applications."

"For the bar area, Tarakdjian chose Decor cabinetry, but this time the cabinetry was given a rich cherry finish with a black glaze. The deep, rich color adds a level of refinement to the bar area," says Rosecky.
