The clean architectural lines of the Hilton Sydney interior are reinforced by the fittings selected for the new look. Contemporary designer basins and wall-hung toilet pans from Caroma were chosen for the guest suites, and restaurant and bar bathrooms.

Interior designer Joseph Pang specified the Caroma products, which he says are in keeping with the modern simplicity of the hotel interiors.

"Caroma bathroomware was also chosen for its reliable quality and functionality," he says. "In addition, the Caroma collection provides many options to suit different applications ranging from luxury five-star bathrooms to small compact guest toilets."

In the master bathroom of the Corner Relaxation suite, featured on these pages, Caroma's Liano semi-recessed, square-edged basins complement the square forms of the suite design. They are paired with Walvit wall-hung toilet pans.

The guest bathroom in the Corner Relaxation suites features the bold Geo 400 wall basin, again paired with the Walvit wall-hung pan.

Pang says another factor in the product choice was the desire to support local industry.

"Australian designers do take this into account, and are particularly supportive of established manufacturers such as Caroma, which is renowned for its strong emphasis on design and research. We also appreciate the regular seminars hosted by the company, which help raise the overall standard of design."

Caroma products, including Liano under-counter basins, also feature in the bathrooms serving the Marble bar, Zeta bar and Glass restaurant.
